PRODUCT REVIEW
Head lice are not fun! I can remember being in 3rd grade and there was a head lice outbreak. We loved it because we didn't have to attend class...we were all lined up in the gym getting our heads checked out by a nurse with those plastic gloves. You know what, I don't think she had a hair net on...hmmm!

Before even opening the package of my Lice Shield products, I smelt an amazing aroma of eucalyptus with a touch of citronella. After opening the package, it hit me! WOW! What an amazing smell! If the smell doesn't sell you the following information will.
Lice Shield is 100% free of harmful pesticides because who wants to put these things on your child's head. I have to agree with Lice Shield when they say that both products are easy to substitute into a child’s daily hair care routine. Lice Shield products not only smell good (as I keep telling you), but they were designed with kids’ finer hair and sensitive scalps in mind. Lice Shield is a company that actually CARES about your children. This is another reason why I suggest you go out and buy this product if you do not win the giveaway!
If you have long hair, you're going to rejoice at the fact that the Lice Shield products are also made with a tangle-free formula. When I was washing the family's hair with Lice Shield it went on and off without a problem. I have the most tangles in the family and they didn't stand a chance. I wanted to post a before and after picture but my camera is nowhere to be found. Sorry! If I find it, I'll post it. It isn't a pretty sight...but after using Lice Shield, it looks all pretty and healthy. Listed below are a few fun things to know about head lice. They're going to make you want to go out and buy Lice Shield from stores like CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid and Wal-Mart.
- FACT: Although reliable data on how many people in the United States get head lice each year are not available, an estimated 6 million to 12 million infestations occur each year in the United States among children 3 to 11 years of age. (CDC WEBSITE)
- MYTH: Head lice can jump from person to person.
- FACT: Head lice can't jump or fly, they can only crawl. (WEBMD WEBSITE)

Yes, I'm concerned about lice. My two girls have had two infestations this year alone. Their school only checks if there's a report of it by one of the parents. I'm really interested in prevention by using Lice Shield.

I am very concerned about lice during the school year due to many outbreaks. Even though the school is very good at doing head checks every so often, it still worries me. They are such a pain to deal with.

Yes, I'm very concerned about lice. My daughter just graduated from Young 4's and they had a girl w/ lice in the class. Thankfully no else got it. The school sent the girl home (no nits policy) and the kids each had their own trash bag to put their backpacks/coats in after that.
When I went to Oregon I had lice in my hair 4 times a year.. I think something to prevent lice getting in your hair is great. I really need this product.
I dread it. I actually kept my kids home for a week once because the school would not do anything about the other kids that had it. I have 6 kids..its horrible

We've been pretty lucky with the headlice thing. I know when we did experience it, it was horrible and I don't want to go through that again. I'd like to win this.

Very concerned. Schools policy is to send children home who have head lice and they cannot return until they are gone. Nurse checks hair once a week

Yes, I am concerned. The school will send a note home if a parent notifies the school but I don't think they do random head checks or anything.

I am concerned about lice at school. We get notes a few times every year saying someone in the class has it and we need to check our children's hair. Besides the note, the school doesn't do much of anything about it. One time a girl in my son's class had lice and her mother couldn't get time off work to keep her home so they let her continue to attend class even though it is against school policy, so I kept my son home. We've been lucky to avoid it so far and I hope to keep it that way!

I am very concerned for my daughter, there was a small outbreak of lice in her school last year, lucky it did not affect her... But you never know about the future.
lice is a concern but we've never had it luckily

I have a daughter that goes to school so I get concerned about head lice because they catch it there at school sometimes. I also can't think of much to ease there mind except keep their heads washed and stay distant from others.

I am concerned because we have recieved notes about students in their classes having it. Our school does regular head checks on students. vidomich(at)yahoo(dot)com
I have three school age children and lice outbreaks at their school seem to be a frequent problem. Our school has a policy of sending any child home that are found to have lice and notifies all the parents of children in the same class that there was a case of lice found.

My granddaughter is 18 months old, she and my daughter are living in a community at the moment where lice is pretty common...I am VERY worried about it!!
I had to deal with lice with my children and other children in the family/schools. The schools only do head checks weekly.
Not enough is done with this issue!
I am VERY interested in this product...
