(ENDED) Grab 'Em Snacks: Unrivaled Gourmet Plantain Chips Review & Giveaway (Ends 10/13)

PRODUCT REVIEW

Grab 'Em Snacks

Today, I have the great honor of introducing you amazing readers to Grab 'Em Snacks, maker of delicious Gourmet Plantain Chips. A bit of information you need to know before reading any further is that I have never tried a plantain or a plantain chip...ever! After having 25+ years of trying various types of potato chips and pretzels, I'm going to have to put them aside for the healthier alternatives. Say hello to the plantain chip!

Geetha Jayaraman, Grab 'Em Snacks' President and Founder, has created a healthy and tasty snack alternative to the ubiquitous potato chips and pretzels. Grab 'Em Snacks plantain chips come in a variety of flavors: Sea Salt, Red Chili, Black Pepper Spice, Chili Garlic, Jalapeno, Cinnamon Sugar and Cajun Seasoning. The plantain chips are gluten free and are made with organic spices. Thank you Grab 'Em Snacks!

Grab 'Em Snacks

We received each of the 7 Grab 'Em Snacks plantain chip flavors to try out and it was very difficult to decide which one would be added to our Christmas list. The first flavor we tried was the Jalapeño Heat. Talk about crazy spicy flavor with a kick! I voted for this one before even trying the other flavors...ha. I love spicy foods!

After everyone's taste buds calmed down, we went through the rest of the flavors one at a time. In the end, the standout flavor among us all was the Cinful Cinnamon. We added this to our nightly scoop of vanilla ice cream. What a treat! This is the perfect pairing that you won't want to miss out on! It's a delicious dessert snack or an anytime snack.

Well I knew next to nothing about plantains, but I will have to try some some time!

They're native to India, and are often used in savory dishes - kind of like a potato. Unlike the banana they can not be eaten raw!

I didn't realize they were used as a vegetable instead of a fruit like a banana. I always thought they were sweet. Its good to know they're lower in sugar too.
