(ENDED) Master Lock: Keeping Students Safe Review and Giveaway (Ends 9/19)

PRODUCT REVIEW

Master Lock

Going back to school can be a journey for both the son/daughter and the parents. I remember my first day of school like it was yesterday. The streets were lined students and their family members unpacking cars and loading the stuff into the dorm rooms. Thank goodness I was on the first floor!

Everybody and their brother had a bike...including me. I was able to snag the last spot on the bike holder and locked mine up with my handy Master Lock bike lock. My roommate bought a knock-off brand from the local hardward store which was the last thing anyone should do!

A few months into the semester, my roommate noticed that the very expensive bike which was given as a birthday present was missing from the bike rack right outside of our dorm room. We searched high and low for the bike but called it quits when the local police told us that it would most likely be taken to the next nearest town and sold off. What a sad moment for my roommate.

That evening, I took a trip to that same local hardware store where the knock-off brand bike lock was purchased and bought a Master Lock bike lock. I left the gift on my roommates bed that night. Let's just say that the new bike my roommate bought didn't go missing! Thanks Master Lock for a product that can withstand weather, bolt cutters, and theives.

While you're at it, download the Master Lock 'Back-to-Campus' Shopping Checklist. It offers a number of ideas for products that will ensure your student's belongings stay safe!

We try to label everything possible! Doesn't always work, but at least somebody can't 'mistake' our daughter's belongings for their own.

Thanks!

You can only encourage them to be responsible, always lock dorm doors, blah, blah, blah. Just in case, we also made a list of items with serial numbers, model numbers, and etched name on some items.
