Laundry is one of those topics I try to stay away from...it can be messy! Living in Florida causes your clothes to quickly get stinky and not to mention your armpit areas get really stained from the summer humidity. Laundry detergent alone just doesn't cut it. That's why I use and recommend Shout to get the job done! I also recommend you check out what's new at Shout. They are currently sponsoring a wonderful fall initiative called Shout Go Play! It's a great way to promote play in nature this fall.
With summer at an end, my family's armpit stains turn into grass and mud stains. We're a family of athletes and outdoor lovers. When the leaves begin falling off the trees and the crisp air sets i, we're instantly pulled outside. Being outside when the weather is around 70 degrees with a slight breeze is just delightful. No one complains of the heat or humidity and no one complains that it's too cold either!
I don't know about you readers but I love playing outside. Playing with your child is one of the most valuable things for a family. Getting together in a group and doing something outside will help your child become well-rounded. I always felt that my elementary school classmates that didn't play sports or outdoor activities always had the hardest time learning fundamental skills and interacting. If only these parents had known about the many learning toys and ways to play with their children outside.
Thanks to Shout and Growing Tree Toys, hopefully more families are inspired to go outside and play this fall! One of the highlights of the free sample gift set was the "52 Activities in Nature" card set. I found some really great ideas of what to do this fall and I'll list a few of mine below. There are so many fall activities that families can do together. Just think back to when you were a child...what did you do outside with your family during the fall season? I remember quite clearly doing the following with my parents:
- Raking up the leaves (AND THEN JUMPING IN THE PILE)
- Carving a pumpkin
- Decorating the house
- Picking apples from a local orchard
"Shout knows play is so much more than fun and games. Studies show that unstructured play helps kids build fundamental skills like problem solving, coping, and conflict resolution. In other words: play is how kids become happy, healthy adults. Fall has arrived with crisp, cool air and new reasons to go out and play. So, let your kids take that rewarding jump into a pile of leaves. Take at trip to the park and watch their imaginations run free. The one thing you won’t do is worry about their clothes; play should get messy and Shout can help."
