Who wouldn't want a book, a DVD, or a CD for a Christmas present? I love getting these type of presents, especially books! I believe that reading is one of the most important parts of a child's upbringing. I might even stretch this statement and say that reading is one of the most important parts of OUR lives. Think how often you read...magazines, newspapers, TV's, websites, text messages on your phone, etc? You're constantly reading something whether it's on paper or on a digital screen.

I grew up in a family where my mother would read to me every night before bedtime. These memories are so special to me and I know they are to her as well. I've been blessed to see first hand how reading to your children benefits their lives. After being offered the opportunity to review a product from Little One Books, I skipped right over the music and videos and headed directly to the book section.

Before I even looked through their amazing selection I knew the book I wanted to order. Growing up on Winnie-the-Pooh stories, it was time to bring the fun loving character into my household.

Return to the Hundred Acre Wood by David Benedictus brings back the lovable and family friendly characters Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Christopher Robin, many others and even a new one called Lottie the Otter. The book is over 200 pages and will be wonderful to read at night. I might just have to call my mom up to have her take a trip down for some bedtime reading. =-)

After ordering this book, I decided it was time to give the other items a chance. What a selection! I love how it is organized by age group and product type. I always get overwhelmed when I visit a store with thousands of books, DVD's, and CD's. I get stuck there forever. Now, I can easily search by age group and type of item...it doesn't get any more user-friendly than this folks! Plus, you can find out why they choose the product in their "Why We Chose" section for each item. I've enjoyed reading them. I hope you do too!
